Hey guys

My favorite holiday is Christmas! The snow and the cold just makes me feel happy. Christmas movie are amazing! They make me feel so warm inside here are some of my favorite Christmas movies what are yours?

Elf is about a elf name Buddy who thinks he’s and elf because he was raised in the north pole by the elf’s and Santa. But is really a human. He goes the New York to try to find his dad and meets someone else on the way.

The Grinch is a person who hates Christmas. He try’s to ruin Christmas for everyone who live in Whoville. He came down from his mountain with his dog max to get everything related to Christmas and throw them away when he meets a girl named Cindy Lou Who.

Frosty the snowman is a cartoon movie about a snowman who come to life when he put’s a magic hat on. All the kids love him but some of the parents do not. The heat is coming and the kid try to figure out how to keep him from not melting.

Home Alone is a movie about a big family all going to Florida for Christmas But Kevin went on the wrong plane and ended up in New York. But the Wet Bandits escaped prison and  they are trying to get Kevin. Will Kevin make it home to his family?

Christmas with the Kranks is about a family who’s daughter  is away for Christmas so the parent are planing on going on a cruise. They want to forget about Christmas all the presents,light,cards everything. But something changes when they hear the there daughter is coming home for Christmas with her new boyfriend.

Home Alone is a about a big family is all getting ready to head on a trip to Paris. But Kevin the boy doesn’t  wake up in time so everyone left without him. Some robbers called the Wet Bandits  try to get into there house. Will Kevin outsmart them?

Why would I want the Flu for Christmas?

Hey everyone,  here are 10 things I would not want for Christmas.

1.  I would not want to get the Flu for Christmas because I don’t want to be sick on Christmas.

2. homework for Christmas no thanks. I would not want homework because I would want to spend time with my family not doing homework.

3. I would not want to get a pet spider or snake because I don’t like them. They kind of creep me out, spiders more than snake, but I still wouldn’t like one.

4. I personally would not want a book because I would rather just get it from the library and save money. Plus reading in not my most favorite thing in the world.

5. Gross!  I would not like any vegetables for Christmas because I probably wouldn’t eat it and let my Dad eat it or something like that.

6. ” Cinderella Cinderella”  I would not want cleaning supplies because then I might have have to clean and that isn’t fun.

7.  “Santa Claus is coming to town” I would not want coal for Christmas because I  would not know what to do with it.

8. “Tick tock tick tock” I would not want an alarm clock because I don’t like waking up early.

9. ” Boom Crack the sound in my back” I do not want a broken bone because I love to be active and a broken bone would stop me from doing that.  I could still be active but not as much as I could if I didn’t have a broken bone.

10. ” Whats 6÷2(1+2)” would not want a math game because during my free time I would like to have fun and I don’t think math is fun.

I ain’t afraid of no ghosts!

If there’s something strange in the neighborhood, who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! 

There are four main characters in ghostbusters Answer the Call (I looked it up and that’s the name of the 2016 movie) , and one of them is a lady named Holtzmann. Holtzmann is a movie character in Ghostbusters (the girl version). Her full name is Jillian Holtzmann. But everyone calls her Holtzmann. Her name in real life is Kate McKinnon. She has blonde hair and she makes all the cool gadgets to capture the ghosts. She is the friend of a character named Abby but then got introduced to the other characters and is now friends with everyone.  She’s really crazy  and she shows a lot of different successful learner traits. Like… 

  Creativity

She is really creative because she makes all the cool gadgets to capture the ghosts. She has to come up with all the ideas and figure out how to build it. There is not a book or something telling her how to do it she comes up with everything. One of her gadgets is a contraption were she can keep ghosts in a machine.

 Industriousness

She is really industrious because it probably takes a lot of time to make everything and she doesn’t complain because she enjoys doing it. When she goes to capture all the ghosts she doesn’t fool around a lot. She likes to joke around but when it comes to business she gets it done. 

Risk Taking 

Holtzmann is a big very risk taker because is takes gut to go fight a bunch of ghost . She went against the mayor of the city to so she could save her universe. She could have died, or gotten really injured.  

I think everyone should be a little bit more like Holtzmann. She is a very kind person who cares about others but also loves to have fun. I don’t think that the girls could have done it without her.

Hey everyone, 

I’m Back! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted a blog post but I’m going to be doing more for now. I’m going  to tell you all about me just in case you’re new or just need a refresher. 

My name is Briana and I live in the Comox Valley. I’m 12 years old and I’m in grade 7. I love gymnastic and I’m going to be competing soon so I’m super excited about that. My favorite gymnast is Simone Biles. She won serval gold medals in the Olympics. I also love to play with my dog named Rosie because she’s so cute and I love her so much. 

My favorite food is probably PIZZA! Now I love a lot of food, but I think pizza stands out to me. I do not like all pizza like pineapple or meat lovers, I love pepperoni pizza because I take off the pepperoni and eat them then eat the pizza. It still tastes like pepperoni, just a little less strong. 

My favorite holiday is Christmas because I love the feel of it, I just feel happy and jolly. But I also love Halloween Because, well, one you get free CANDY and going around with your friends trick or treating is so fun. My family always goes all out on are decorations for Christmas and Halloween. My favorite to set up is Halloween because we have more stuff and it’s really cool and creepy.

My last day of school is coming up very soon witch means its going to be summer! But that also mean I will be going into grade 7 next your so I might not post as much or at all. My camp experience!

(me doing the Leap of Faith)

I loved jumping off a 30-foot pole! Camp was amazing I know I will remember it for the rest of my life. At camp there were so many activities to do like the Leap of Faith, Giants Ladder, Possum Log, Burma Bridge kayaking, and a hike. The Leap of Faith is were you climb up a big pole that have staples in it so it easy to climb then stand on the top of the pole and jump off then try to catch a trapeze. If you catch the trapeze try to do a pull up because all the Adrenalin you will probably do one. The Giants Ladder is were you have a partner and you try to climb up a really big ladder that the logs are far apart. The Possum Log is were you climb up a cargo net then try to get on a log once you get on the log you can rather walk or scooch across to a tree named dug then you high five hug or kiss him then you lay down on the log and hang upside-down then let go. The Burma Bridge  is were you climb up a tree then you walk across some wire to go hug dug give him a high five or kiss him.

I learn so many lesson at camp like, to take risk because you will be happy that you did after words like when I jumped off of the Leap of Faith or when I walked across the Possum Log. But you don’t have to Take a risk by doing anything outside your comfort zone or just taking a risk.

If you go to an outside camp you should know, there’s going to be bugs! You shouldn’t always kill because some of them help you like spider they eat bug so there won’t always be bug in your cabin. Maybe kill them if there right above your bed though. A lot of people don’t like bug so you should respect that (unless they really over react)

Get sleep when you’re at camp so you have energy for all the cool things you’re going to do. Remember to bring warm and dry clothes for the night so you won’t be freezing all night. Wear warm dry sock and maybe even hoodie. If you’re in a cabin or something with other people don’t talk because you might keep other people awake so they will be tired. Make sure you don’t stay up the whole night because you might be grumpy in the morning.

Going to camp was really fun and I will remember this for the rest of my life! I am so thank full for everyone that help organize or arrange camp. I also am thankful for everyone that works at camp there all so nice.  I will remember all of the lessons. Camp rocks!

Geo Bunny

Hello everyone,

In class we made things called Geo Bunnies. It’s were we creative shapes and we get the area and perimeter of most shapes. We also had to right a story about my bunny this i s what I wrote.

My bunny’s name is Fredrick . He’s a world famous pizza maker. His specialty is his pepperoni pizza. People will come far and wide just to eat Fredrick pepperoni pizza. He also poops chocolate that is the finest chocolate money could buy. As you can probably tell Fredrick’s a millionaire. He always wears his bow tie and top hat just to look professional. People love to see him around town so they can take picture with him. He’s kind and funny, he also loves to make people happy so on Fridays he makes his half off!

We learned a lot about geometry, like all the formulas for area and perimeter for different shapes like, Rectangle,Trapezoid,Parallelogram,Circle(only grade 7’s had to do that) and triangle.

Gymnastics!

Shawn Johnson Olympics VaultHi everyone,

Gymnastic is my favorite sport in the whole world! My favorite events (if you don’t know what an event is, it’s bars, beam, floor and vault) are floor or beam, I can’t decide. But then it’s vault, and then bar because bars are my least favorite event and I’m not very good at them either.

My favorite gymnast is Simone Biles. If you don’t know who she is, she is an Olympic gold medalist from the USA who competed in the Rio 2016 Olympics. My other favorite gymnast is Shawn Johnson who is also an Olympic medalist.

I love to do gymnastics on my trampoline in my backyard. One of my favorite things in my gym is the bar pit which is were there’s a bar over the foam pit. It’s  funny because I don’t really like bars, but I think the bar over the pit is so fun.

I also love the tumble track which is a really long trampoline. My favorite thing to do on it is hurdle round offs. The hardest skill that I can do are a round off with no hands on the trampoline, a back handspring (I can do but I’m always scared to go back), or a cartwheel on the beam.

My dream skill is a round off back handspring on the floor. My least favorite skill to do is a back roll on the the beam because it hurts.
